Here is our Houston International Quilt Market booth for 2011. It is amazing how it all fell together. The booth was designed around the fabulous party dress in the corner. The new <a href=\"http:\/\/www.janesassaman.com\/\">Early Birds<\/a> line has a really nice border print, so I knew it would be perfect for the edge of a fancy garment. We added drama by framing it with some fabulous curtains and adding a coral pink backdrop.<\/p>\n<div style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/4.bp.blogspot.com\/-8jM4Nxaxmuw\/TrFrjZYq8TI\/AAAAAAAABXY\/Op9qUs2BYYc\/s1600\/Party+Dress.jpg\" style=\"clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" border=\"0\" height=\"640\" src=\"http:\/\/janesassaman.gloderworks.net\/weblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/Party+Dress.jpg\" width=\"484\" \/><\/a><\/div>\n<p>My steadfast friend and super sewer, Susan Tempin, made this show stopper from a current Vintage Vogue pattern. Then she added the icing on the cake by hand sewing a gold sequin in the center of each little daisy. I just LOVE it!<\/p>\n<div style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/1.bp.blogspot.com\/--9-z6hFH3ug\/TrFxyX5WxeI\/AAAAAAAABXg\/bkFp-lMAiA4\/s1600\/Houston+Booth+2011+%25232.jpg\" style=\"clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" border=\"0\" height=\"640\" src=\"http:\/\/janesassaman.gloderworks.net\/weblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/Houston+Booth+2011+%25232.jpg\" width=\"464\" \/><\/a><\/div>\n<p>To the left we had a display of Early Birds purses and bags, many made by Melissa Peda from her own pattern designs. You can find them at her <a href=\"http:\/\/www.etsy.com\/shop\/100billionstars\">Etsy store<\/a>. The Pretty Perfect Pocket Purses, a Sassaman pattern, were made by the fabulous and enthusiastic Juanita Whiting.
